Dawnwalker guide
Dawnwalker manual saves and choice reloads
Dawnwalker supports manual save points. See when to make a separate save before a costly quest or major choice, and how to keep an older route from being overwritten.
Short answer
Yes. The official PlayStation listing says The Blood of Dawnwalker supports manual save points that return you to the exact place where you left off. Make a separate manual save before entering a major conversation or committing an action marked with an hourglass. Do not rely on a single autosave if you want to revisit an earlier branch.

| Moment | Why keep a separate slot |
|---|---|
| Before an hourglass action | Lets you reconsider the time cost |
| Before a major conversation | Preserves the state before the dialogue begins |
| Before changing day or night | Keeps the current form and available routes |
| Before entering a finale or officer encounter | Protects the wider route, not only the last choice |
What to do
- Open the save menu before you enter a major conversation or finish a marked quest action.
- Create a new manual slot instead of overwriting the only save from your current run.
- Keep one older checkpoint before the latest story cost, especially when several people or quests are competing for time.
- After loading, check the day, form, hunger and available objectives before choosing a different branch.
Keep one save before the branch begins
A save made after a quest cost or forced scene is too late to recover the earlier route. Keep one slot from before you enter the conversation or location, then use a newer slot for normal progress.
A reload does not erase the decision system
Reloading lets you revisit a moment, but the result can still depend on earlier quests, time spent, Coen's hunger and the people who are alive. A different final dialogue line may not be enough to produce a different outcome.
If you are stuck
Can I save before every dialogue choice?
The store confirms manual saves, but it does not promise that saving is available during every scene. Save before starting the conversation.
Does difficulty change manual saving?
Read the difficulty description before starting the run. If a mode changes saving, the restriction should be listed there.
Common questions
Does Dawnwalker have manual saving?
Yes. The official PlayStation listing says you can create manual save points and return to the game exactly where you left off.
Can I reload a choice?
A manual save can return you to an earlier point. Save before the conversation or quest step, since the menu may not be available after the choice has begun.
How many manual save slots are there?
The number of slots will be visible in the save menu at launch. Check it before planning a long archive of branches.
